The CarboClear® Posterior Cervical Screw System is FDA Cleared

The CarboClear® Posterior Cervical Screw System is FDA cleared, for tumors involving the cervical spine*. It is complementary to the FDA cleared Thoracolumbar CarboClear® X Pedicle Screw System.

This is the only Posterior Cervical Screw System system cleared & available in the US.

The CarboClear® Posterior Cervical Screw is made of carbon fibers, with an ultra-thin titanium shell which allows the screw to be visualized under X-ray, and it enhances bone integration.

Carbon fiber implants propose unique advantages to the oncological patients and their physicians. Among those advantages are enhanced radiation therapy planning abilities, allowing radiation treatment to optimize the radiation dose to the tumor with minimal collateral tissue damage, and enhanced follow up abilities due to artifacts-free imaging. In addition, the implants provide unparalleled fatigue strength to support the impaired healing process in those patients, as well as compatibility with particle radiation (proton and carbon ion) and other stereotactic radio-surgery modalities.
