Why Carbon Fiber?

Prior to radiotherapy a CT based radiation planning is performed.

 

Metal pedicle screw constructs create artifacts, which require longer planning time and uncertainties in tumor delineation.

The CarboClear implants present negligible CT artifacts, which allow:

  • Precise delineation

  • Precise dosimetry

  • Reduced planning time

  • Negligible backscattering and attenuation: Tumor receives maximum radiation with minimal collateral damage
